At Nashoba Valley we provide participants with the opportunity, guidance, and encouragement to reach their potential, develop their independence, enrich their lives, develop their skills, and have fun through snow sports instruction.
The Nashoba Valley Adaptive staff is an all volunteer staff that is the heart and soul of our program. They give of their time, energy, and talents and are highly trained to work with a variety of students.
Our instructors present snow sports in a safe, enthusiastic and upbeat environment. They are skilled in dealing with students with cognitive disabilities, visually impaired and/or hearing impaired students, and three/four track students (amputees and those with lower extremity weaknesses who require outriggers or forearm crutches with ski tips attached). The minimum age is 6 years old. If you have any questions or you need additional information, please call 978-692-3033 and ask for adaptive.
Our program is offered on Sunday afternoons at 3:00. Each lesson is one bundled price which includes a 90 minute lesson, a lift ticket, and rental equipment. Registration is TBA, we are working on a plan to facilitate this program during the COVID pandemic.
We request each student complete a student evaluation form to provide our staff with additional information to best prepare for the first lesson. The evaluation must be completed and returned to my attention at Nashoba Valley Ski Area prior to the first lesson.
When you arrive on the day of your lesson, proceed directly to the Ski School Desk. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson to allow for logistics and equipment rental.
